Miss Ameila turned one and we decided to celebrate with a scrummy cake smash!
I’ve always wanted to do a cake smash out doors and jumped at the chance when her Mum, Amy May, agreed to my idea to do the photoshoot in the garden. We hung some paper pompom decorations from the washing line and set the scene. In came the cake that Amy had made especially for the day.
As usual with all little ones they are always quite tentative about being allowed a big cake all to themselves even if they love to get mucky at home! After much persuasion Amelia had a little munch but then decided it was much more to fun to show me the shells she’d collected and to catwalk down the garden!
To say she was chocolate chip cute is a massive understatement. I was giggling to myself at all her funny faces when I was editing the portraits and thinking how much she has grown since her first newborn photoshoot with me.
During the photoshoot she even managed to demolish half of the garden ornaments quickly forgiven as was giving them big fat kisses!
