We are so so lucky to live within a stones throw of some of the most stunning locations for family photoshoots.
Living in Heald Green I’m within walking distance of Rosevale park. I’ve done a number of children’s photoshoots here as I love the grassy areas and the kiddies always want to have a go walking over the swinging wobbly wooden bridge. We generally finish off the shoot with a go on the swings and roundabout.
My next closest location and for outdoor shoots with families is my all time favourite Abney Hall Park. I love this park because it’s full of adventure. When you shoot in the studio you have a limited time span to capture the attention of little ones as they get bored really easily. But when I take them to Abney I know that around each corner there’s something new. I tend to start by feeding the ducks that way everyone can relax and get to know each other better. Then we go exploring finding steps, bridges, streams, cows and even a waterfall!
As Amy and Paddy are members of The National Trust they wanted a family photoshoot at Dunham Massey. It was my first chance to take bluebell photography with little mister gorgeous Leon.
The flower garden there is so pretty and a great day out with lots to do after the shoot. Another totally stunning location is Tatton Park. It’s so so grand with, “An historical estate with a neo-classical mansion, 50 acres of landscaped Gardens, 1000 acres of deer Park, a rare breed farm and medieval Old Hall”. What more could you want for a backdrop to your family portrait photography.
Styal woods and park is another beauty just perfect for family photoshoots.
I’m always on the look out for new places to shoot so if you have a favourite spot you’d like me to take your family portrait at let’s fix a date for an adventure!
