I have struggled to write this blog post.

I feel no matter what I write it cannot begin to get across the my thoughts and feelings about my Dad’s sudden death.

The one comfort we all have is that now his heart that was broken 4 years ago when my Mum died will be mended in their reunion.

So instead I’ve decided to share with you some of my favourite photos of his life.

When a loved one passes you realise just how incredibly important photography is in our lives.

Last Christmas I’d decided to take some special portraits of my Dad for my sister’s present. It’s weird but I knew that these would be the last portraits that I would take of him.  I’m so pleased now that I did.

This is my favourite one from the shoot taken in my front room.

But his main focus was his family especially his grandchildren. They’ll all be lost without their Poppa.

From JK Simmons Oscar winning speech….

“Call your mom, call your dad. If you’re lucky enough to have a parent or two alive on this planet, call them.

Don’t text. Don’t email. Call them on the phone. Tell them you love them, and thank them, and listen to them for as long as they want to talk to you.”
