Charlotte’s Teenage Photoshoot.

Charlotte is an aspiring model who came to me to me for a teenage photoshoot at the studio in Cheadle, Cheshire.

I’ve eventually got round to writing a blog post about it. It was a chance for me to try something a bit more editorial.

As soon as she arrived she was put straight into the hot seat of Team Glam to have her hair and makeup done

by the very talented Lisa Simms.

 As you can see Charlotte’s hair is devine.

Lisa started with loose textured plaits in amongst the glory of red relaxed curls. Then we started to play!

Taking a teenage portrait can often be tricky. They generally have a one look that they like to control usually in selfies. So it’s my job to make them feel comfortable and help them to prepare beforehand with advise on what to wear although I often end up wrapping my subjects up in fabric to achieve the look I’m after. Charlotte did a fantastic job and relaxed into the shoot with ease.

I’ve always been a sucker for red hair, my Mum said that I used to pour tomato soup on my head because I wanted it that colour! So I was in heaven with  Charlotte’s it’s epic! My creative juices were on fire and I asked Lisa to crimp it. The texture made it easy to mould and I began twisting, wrapping and clipping it around her to create a totally different look.
